Define Quality Requirements Before Shipment
Clear product specifications and inspection criteria can help buyers identify discrepancies before goods are shipped.
Sourcing Pi can help organize inspection requirements and coordinate with suitable inspection providers where available.
Support may include
- Reviewing agreed product specifications
- Preparing a checklist of inspection requirements
- Coordinating inspection schedules
- Communicating inspection findings
- Organizing available reports and corrective-action follow-up
- Coordinating re-inspection, if agreed
Before you book
Inspection scope, sampling method, standards, timing, location, third-party fees and reporting format should be agreed in advance.
What inspection can and cannot do
- Inspection reduces uncertainty but cannot guarantee that every unit is defect-free or that all future performance issues will be prevented.
How inspection results are recorded
On managed orders, inspection outcomes are recorded against the order and reviewed before they count toward shipment readiness.
- 01
Passed
All checklist points met. The goods can proceed once the other readiness requirements are complete.
- 02
Passed with conditions
Minor deviations accepted with recorded conditions — for example, re-labelling specific cartons before loading.
- 03
Failed
Goods do not meet the agreed requirements. Corrective actions are raised and a re-inspection is arranged where agreed. Shipment is held until resolved.
